Adrenal Fatigue

STRESS. We all have it in our lives to some degree. So what does that have to do with your adrenal glands? Well, your adrenal glads produce your stress hormone or "adrenaline", the main one being cortisol. Cortisol is released in response to stress and it give you a surge of energy to help you respond properly.

Of course there are different forms of stress like:

  • Emotional Stress (death of a loved one, demanding boss, etc.)
  • Environmental stress (pesticides, pollution, etc.)
  • Physical stress (injury, accident, etc.)

Whatever the form of the stress, the adrenal glands are the first to react. If there is a period of prolonged stress, eventually the adrenal glands burn out and are no longer able to produce the amount of cortisol that is required by the body. At this time you may begin to experience symptoms such as:

  • Fatigue
  • Insomnia
  • Weight gain
  • Irritability
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Cravings for certain types of food/sugar
  • Headaches
  • Poor concentration
  • Indigestion
  • and others

Your body was not meant to be in this prolonged state of high stress or "readiness".  At Mandala we have a very effective approach to correcting the body's imbalances by finding out what is causing your adrenal burn out.
